He can be seen in Napa on Mondays with Napa Valley Urology Associates.  You may call the Napa office at 707-224-7944. His office hours in Napa are extremely limited as he is available only on Monday. Dr. Khaira has a loyal following of patients and his clinic hours get booked quickly.

He currently has medical/surgical privileges at NorthBay Medical Center in Fairfield, VacaValley Hospital and Queen of the Valley in Napa. He also sees patients at Napa State Hospital.

Dr. Herkanwal Khaira is a fellowship trained Urologist in Robotic and Laparoscopic Oncology. He currently has specialized practices serving two separate communities- Napa County and Solano County. He serves his patients with a commitment to high quality, compassionate care. He strives to help his patients remain comfortable, physically and emotionally, to be well informed, and to be able to return to their normal lifestyle quickly. Dr. Khaira provides premier quality care utilizing state-of-the-art treatments with proven success. Dr. Khaira is the recipient of numerous honors for his research and his findings have been presented throughout the world.

He is trained and experienced in all aspects of urology with specific emphasis on minimally invasive, laparoscopic, and robotically assisted procedures. His range of services includes, but is not limited to, the treatment of prostate enlargement; prostate, kidney, and bladder cancer; kidney disorders, erectile dysfunction, and the treatment of kidney stones. He focused special attention on robotic surgery, male infertility and erectile dysfunction through research and clinical fellowships. He is widely published in the field of minimally invasive surgery. He has served as a proctor for da Vinci surgery and has trained urologists throughout the country. Dr. Khaira continues to be actively involved in programs and studies to improve the delivery of health care. He is the former Chair of the Department of Surgery at Queen of the Valley Medical Center. Currently he is the Director of Urology at NorthBay Medical Center.

Dr. Khaira grew up in southern California and studied at UC Berkeley. He was actively involved in community service, including implementing programs for underserved children, serving as a counselor at camps for children with cancer and working as an assistant preschool teacher.  He went to medical school with the aspiration to be a pediatrician; however, he quickly realized his true calling was a surgical specialty. Dr. Khaira was attracted to Urology by its capacity to cure disease and improve quality of life through the use of innovative technology.

After his son was born in 2007, Dr. Khaira and his wife decided to relocate to Napa Valley from San Francisco to raise their children. Valuable time spent with his family continually renews his appreciation for life and his profession. Jogging, reading, traveling and closely following University of California Berkeley football are a few of his favorite pastimes.
